Game Description |

Echoplane is a grid/turn-based strategy game set in a sci-fi universe (think Risk meets Command and Conquer). Players fight to maintain the strongest presence using their own unique strategy, usually consisting of either controlling as much land as possible (sacrificing defensive abilities), controlling a few extremely strong camps, or amassing a giant assault force to focus on lowering others' scores rather than raising their own. These aren't the only viable strategies, however, and that's what makes Echoplane great.
Echoplane isn't like any other turn-based game you've played. Our main goal was to absolutely ensure the fact that gameplay consists of more than "whoever has the most turns wins". Most turn-based games on the internet are simply formula based - use X turns, get X dollars, and that's it. Echoplane uses a grid-based map, presenting you with the challenge of controlling and defending as much land as possible. There is no formula for this, no "best way". You need to think and develop a strategy - do you need to have stronger defenses to the north or the east? Do you expand rapidly or build up what you already have? Strategy is the number one factor in Echoplane, and that's exactly how we wanted it.
It's impossible to describe Echoplane in this tiny text box, you've really got to experience it yourself to understand. Playing Echoplane and signing up for an account is free completely free and always will be, so why not give it a shot?
